概要 | The study investigate Japanese’ image change toward Korea and consumer behavior after the South Korean wave (Hallyu) hit in Japan in 2003, in order to review the potential of future Diaspora business. According to the Korean Tourism Organization, Japanese women in their twenties were the most popular Japanese visitor group to Korea among the all age groups in 2010. Shopping clothes and cosmetics became the important keywords for visiting to Korea. Although the overall interest on the Korean Wave is mainly given to Korean popular cultures and Korea as a tourist destination, the Korean wave phenomenon also brings dramatic changes on the Diaspora business. Diaspora business has largely had customers who are with the same national background due to small business capital, language, and cultural habits. Thanks to the Korean wave, however, it became possible to create the customer management and develop new market in Japanese market through cross-cultural exchange, improvement of the national image, and national global strategy. |
