概要 | The effects of group outcomes and leader’s behavior on evaluations regarding the leader were investigated. We defined leader-evaluation as having a two-dimensional structure consisting of evaluations of leader’s personality and evaluations of leader’s ability. The effects of leader-evaluation on followers’ group adjustment were also examined. The following hypotheses were developed: (1) highly desired behaviors of leaders’ would be more positively evaluated in relation to personality- evaluations. (2) High group outcomes would be more positively evaluated in relation to ability- evaluations. (3) Personality-evaluations would not be positive affected by group adjustment of followers, whereas ability-evaluation would be positive affected by follower’s group adjustment. The results generally supported the hypotheses. The results suggested that leader’s behavior was more effective for determining the follower’s group adjustment than group outcome. |
